Seasonal activity guides for the City of Davis, CA.
Over several years, I laid out and designed 3 guides per year, each spanning 60 to 80 pages. The challenge was to merge the functional representation of activity schedules with a magazine-style layout to engage readers with program advertisements, explainers, city resource guides, and photography.
Featuring full-color covers and a two-color interior, careful typographic treatments, tables, and charts were all instrumental in achieving clarity and legibility for readers of all ages.
