Open Payments is a national disclosure program that was established in 2009 to promote a financially transparent healthcare system. Pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers must report any payments or transfers of value to certain healthcare providers and Open Payments makes that data available to the public.
To ensure accuracy, healthcare providers have the opportunity to review the data reported about them and they can either affirm it or initiate disputes if they think something is incorrect.
CMS asked my agency to create a video that first explains how this process works and second provides an on-screen demonstration within the Open Payments portal.
It was a very cross-functional team and I got to work with all the different specialists including our outstanding copywriter, producer, voice talent, sound editor, and of course the designer/motion graphics animator.
I sketched out the initial storyboard and worked with the animator to realize the sketches in the Open Payments brand style and then as a fully rendered video.
