A blast from the…well…2005.

The last time flip phones were this hot was way back in the 200o’s so when T-Mobile announced their exclusive magenta-colored Motorolla razr+, they asked our agency to create some buzz. The idea was to assemble a merch kit that included some mid-2000s staples like a phone bedazzling kit, puke shells, and an Ed Hardy t-shirt.

To give this whole thing a grand kick-off, I designed a microsite that broke down the news, what was in the kit, and how to get a hold of one. It blends today’s conventional web design with kitschy styles from 20 years ago—holographic textures, eclectic punk rock symbols, and Lisa Frank-inspired stickers all carefully blended with T-Mobile’s disruptor brand.
