What if 5G Was Ice Cream?

In its ongoing push to help customers appreciate the new and changing landscape of 5G technology—T-Mobile asked Chicago beach-goers “What if 5G were ice cream?” The answer is that T-Mobile would be 4 scoops while the other carriers would be less than half and not as tasty.

My agency helped bring this activation to life, bringing consumer and media attention to T-Mobile’s 5G offerings. We wrapped an old ice cream truck in T-Mobile branding that highlighted the better coverage T-Mobile offers over AT&T and Verizon. We set up shop at North Avenue Beach in Chicago and gave out free ice cream scoops to anyone who wanted one.

I created graphics for the truck, signage, trash bins, and cone sleeves. We worked closely with the truck wrap team handing off mockups, final art, and advising on final placement as the application of vinyl to a very old truck is more art than science! The event was a big hit and many people, doggos included, got their fill of ice cream while learning about T-Mobile 5G.
