At the young age of 10 I designed my first brochure—a tourism pitch for a project on US states. It was in pencil and crudely scribbled on paper from my dad’s printer, but at the time I thought it was a masterpiece. it was the beginning of a strange and long love affair with arranging imagery and typography on a page.
I took design classes at Ohlone College in California where I earned an associates in Graphic Arts and another in Communication, both with honors. Then I attended California State University, where I was one of 40 students admitted through a portfolio review process into the graphic design program. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design at CSUS with honors.
During and after my education, I took some small freelance work to dip my toes in the professional world. I was fortunate to be selected for an internship at The Honey Agency, a marketing and creative agency in Sacramento, CA. I was able to learn so much and advance at that company from intern, to junior designer to designer over the course of a year.
My favorite place to visit happens to be Earth’s happiest place. I love the outdoors whether it’s being at the beach, cycling, or camping in the woods. I love pizza, animals, art museums, movies, baking and all sorts of other cool stuff.
